Terms of Service

What this service is

We publish property advertisements and put renters and buyers in touch with the people advertising them. We are not an estate agent, a landlord or a party to any agreement you reach. We do not view properties, hold deposits, or verify that an advertiser owns what they advertise.

Listings are the advertiser’s responsibility

Whoever places a listing is responsible for it being accurate, lawful, and theirs to place. If you advertise here you confirm that you have the right to let or sell the property, that the details and photographs are accurate and your own to use, and that the price is real.

We may remove a listing that appears inaccurate, unlawful or misleading, and may suspend an account that repeatedly places such listings. We do not undertake to check every listing, and we cannot promise that any of them is accurate.

Protect yourself

Never pay a deposit or any other money for a property you have not seen, and never send money to someone you have not met because they ask you to reserve a property. We will never ask you to pay a deposit for a property through this site. If a listing or a message asks you to, it is not us, and we would like to know about it.

Using the site

You agree not to:

• place a listing for a property you have no right to advertise, or one that does not exist;
• use anyone else’s contact details, or collect other people’s contact details from this site for any purpose of your own;
• copy the listings on this site in bulk, by any automated means, except as our robots.txt permits;
• attempt to interfere with the site, its security, or anyone else’s use of it.

Fees

Placing a listing may require a fee, which is shown before you pay. Fees are payable in advance for the period stated and are not refundable once a listing is published, except where the law requires otherwise or where we have failed to publish it.

Your content

You keep ownership of the text and photographs you upload. You give us permission to display, resize and distribute them for the purpose of advertising your property on this service and in messages and alerts we send about it. That permission ends when you remove the listing, save for copies retained in backups for a limited period.

Our liability

We provide this site as it is. We do not promise it will always be available or free of faults, and we are not responsible for the conduct of anyone you meet through it, for the accuracy of any listing, or for any agreement you enter into. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending your use

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
